Getting into my Room(13 Feb)

I was told by my rental apartment's 'resident manager' to use the 'emergency after hour button' upon arrival and someone will bring my room key to me. The 'button' is actually a communication device. A security guard respond to my call. I guess he was a nap or whatever, as he hang up on me halfway through our conversation and he spoke with a strong accent. I press the button again to continue the conversation, the security guard was kind of like piss off and I know he is going to hang up on me again. Before he did that, my friend's girlfriend, took over and spoke with the security guard in a more aggressive tone. The security guard finally gave in to her and say he is currently at another branch and we have to wait about 15mins for him to arrive. She advice me that sometimes you had to be more assertive towards Australians even though there are very friendly. Well, the security guard came, handed me the keys and I say goodbye to my new friends. What would I do without them.
